When
deciding the content of our high performance fleet we wanted to include the
iconic brands known to car enthusiasts the world over. In all cases it was
important to purchase new vehicles for reasons of reliability, safety and
presentation.
Mortimer Trackdays initially started with two of the very
latest Ferrari 355 Challenge race bred cars which proved an enormous success.
As the fleet has evolved over the years so did the race technology and branding
of car that the company used.
In 2003 a Radical SR3 Supersport was
delivered to headquarters for evaluation purposes. This stunning track/road car
provided lap times quicker than a £680,000 McLaren F1 road car and
consequently high octane fuelled adrenaline rush.
Also in 2003 we also
switched to the Porsche Super Cup cars with the GT3 996 model an outstanding
mark of German engineering that provided a race ready vehicle to be used by our
clients. With its enormous success another GT3 996 was added in 2004 along with
SR3 and SR4 Radical Supersports.
Over the 2005 and 2006 period our fleet
was constantly updated to new vehicles along with more SR3 and SR4 cars being
purchased to bolster numbers. But 2006 provided a massive step forward in the
Porsche department, as the German marquee released its 997 cup car, a
specifically built race ready Porsche. The addition to the fleet was a huge
success, so much so another is on order for delivery in early 2007.
Mortimer trackdays constantly updates and modernises its fleet with new
vehicles and updated models. 2007 is to be no exception as a new model and
class of car will be arriving for an ultimate high octane fuelled
rush.
